About the Delaware Liberty Fund

A Voice For Human Rights

All across America, gay men and lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered persons are working harder than ever to secure our basic human rights. In 1999, the Delaware Liberty Fund was formed to mobilize and educate GLBT voters, to elect candidates to state and local public office who support our community, to promote legislation that is of importance to the GLBT community in our state, and to provide a forum to meet candidates and discuss our concerns. In the face of stepped-up attacks by the conservative right and increased anti-gay violence, now is the time to ensure that our voice is heard in legislatures and town halls throughout the state.

The Delaware Liberty Fund will survey candidates for state and local public office on the issues which we are concerned about, endorse those candidates who will publicly support us, publish the results of candidate surveys in the form of a voter guide, and make financial contributions to the campaigns of endorsed candidates.

Your support is critical if we are to move our state and country forward in creating a just society for all Americans. Please become a member of the Delaware Liberty Fund with a contribution of $100 or more and recieve the following benefits:

  • DLF's Voter Guide
  • Invitations to DLF forums, events and parties
  • Periodic e-mail updates on issues of importance to Delaware's GLBT community
  • Open invitation to attend monthly DLF Steering Committee meetings
  • Invitation to the annual meeting at which time members elect the Steering Committee
